CAT 6A - Category 6A Data cablesAll Phoneworks technicians now carry Krone Cat 6a data cables and data jacks in their vehicles for people wanting high performance data networks. Cat 6a cables are an improved version of Cat 6 data cables and enable better performance, particularly in the area of alien crosstalk or signal leakage, as compared to Cat 6 when tested. Cat 6 cables are rated at 1 Gbp/s while Cat 6a can achieve up to 10 Gbp/s. This is because it can transmit data at 500 MHz—twice that of Cat 6. Our technicians have been fully trained on how to install all data cables, including Cat 6a which must be properly installed and terminated to meet specification standards.
