Phoneworks' Terms and Conditions

PHONEWORKS PTY LTD IS A SERVICE ORIENTED COMPANY AND IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING QUALITY PRODUCTS INSTALLED BY FULLY TRAINED TECHNICIANS. SHOULD YOU EXPERIENCE A FAULT DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, PLEASE CHECK THE LIST BELOW BEFORE MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY INCUR ADDITIONAL CHARGES.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

1.1The client will pay the technician on completion by Cash, Credit Card, Cheque or EFTPOS.
1.2Electronic Funds Transfer will be accepted if the transaction has been completed while the technician is onsite and a receipt is produced.
1.3Phoneworks reserves the right to grant credit to approved clients subject to them agreeing to our "Terms and Conditions"
1.4Should the client delay or default in respect to any payment due, Phoneworks shall have the right to charge interest on all sums owed at the rate of 15% per annum including an administration fee of $100.

PARKING FEES

2.1Any parking fees incurred will be added to the invoice.
2.2Moving our vehicles to alternative car spaces to avoid parking fines will be included in the labour charges.

QUALITY OF GOODS (PARTS) USED

3.1 The client shall inspect the Goods and, within (7) seven days of installation, give notice to Phoneworks of any defect.
3.2 If the client fails to give such notice in that time, the goods shall be deemed to be good condition & acceptable for the installation.

WARRANTY ON WORKMANSHIP

4.1 10 Years on all workmanship.
4.2Not transferable after sale of property / business.
4.3Tenants employing Phoneworks will not be able to transfer warranty to the landlord or a new tenant)

WARRANTY ON PARTS (Excludes electrical components)

5.13 Years in house warranty on all cables.
5.23 Years in house warranty on all Wall plates & fittings.
5.3Not transferable after sale of property / business.
5.4Tenants employing Phoneworks will not be able to transfer warranty to the landlord or a new tenant.

WARRANTY ON ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS

6.112 months. For example: - Phones, Network switches and anything plugged into mains power.

YOUR WARRANTY DOES NOT INCLUDE CLAIMS FOR REPAIRS OR LOSS
  OF INCOME RESULTING FROM:-

7.1Faults caused by Phoneworks technicians working on pre-existing illegal or non standard cabling installed by other persons.
7.2Inclement weather, fire explosion, acts of God or other like causes, interference from buildings, trees, transmitters, obstructions etc.
7.3Loose plugs or leads.
7.4Other persons interfering with the cabling other than Phoneworks’ technicians.
7.5Damage caused to any hidden utilities caused by drilling into concrete walls or floors.
7.6Faults in the Telstra Network (e.g. before the Network Boundary). See Network Boundary for more information
7.7Damage caused by renovations.
7.8Faulty phone/data cords not supplied by us.
7.9Pests/animals chewing on wiring.
7.10Corrosion caused by moisture.
7.11Pre-existing cabling or parts.
7.12Damage caused to cabling installed around carpet edge. (This is sometimes the only economical option to install a point in a desired location)
7.13Damage caused by moving furniture or belongings to gain access for cabling.
7.14Other events beyond our control.

BEFORE YOU CALL ON YOUR WARRANTY

8.1Your invoice must be paid in full

ADDITIONAL FEES WILL BE CHARGED IF WE ARE CALLED OUT AND AS A RESULT;

9.1NO FAULT WAS FOUND.
9.2THE FAULT WAS NOT CAUSED BY OUR WORKMANSHIP.
9.3THE FAULT WAS NOT CAUSED BY PARTS OR EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED BY US.

If you are experiencing a line fault please check the following before
  calling Phoneworks:

10.1Unplug any equipment connected to the phone line including any alarms, phones, cordless phones, faxes, modems, extension bells, etc.
10.2Plug in a known good working phone and check each point.
10.3Check that all cords are plugged in correctly.
10.4Check that cords are plugged into the correct positions.
10.5Turn computer equipment off for approximately 1 minute. Then turn back on.

TO AVOID ADDITIONAL CHARGES, PLEASE CHECK THE ABOVE ITEMS CAREFULLY.
